Telehealth is the application of technology to deliver OT services at a distance by linking our OT FOR KIDS therapists to a child, parent/caregiver, or anyone involved in the child’s care for the purposes of assessment, intervention, consultation and/or supervision.
This may include telephone consultation and/or video conferencing to provide timely and accessible, cost-effective and family centred care for children isolated by distance or other factors. OT FOR KIDS are very experienced in delivering Telehealth services.
The great benefit to Telehealth services is that the therapist gets to know your home and surroundings while utilising familiar activities. Telehealth consultations are also a convenient and effective option to receive clinical services without the time and costs associated with travel.
